I've been seeing videos lately about the longevity of the Ford turbos, from the 1.5 on up. I've heard the 1.5 and 2.0 will be lucky to make it to 100,000 miles. Some garages are already seeing them have to be completely replaced between 60 to 80,000 miles.

So I'd like to ask you guys what year, model, and mileage you have?

I've got a 2021 BB with 23,000 miles. No issues except recalls and a bad battery at 18,000 miles.

I’m only at 20,000 (32,000kms) on my 22 BL so not a great reference as I’m not to the mileages you’re quoting yet. While I will say the car has failed to meet my expectations in some ways, reliability is not one of them. Zero problems zero reliability issues.

Oil changes with quality oil every 5K miles will help longevity of the turbo.

The good news is that it's not horribly expensive to replace the turbo on the BS. Looks like it's about $1,500 all in. If the engine and transmission keep going to 150k+ I'd say you're doing alright.

I'm at 45,000 miles and have had no problems beyond a noisy park release cable.

Common sense would tell you if you keep up with the maintenance schedule you'll have a better chance of reaching higher mileage.
I've known people that that were maintenance hawks and still have problems and people that would do the bare minimum and have zero problems, sometimes it's just luck.

2021 Big Bend with 56,000 miles, like others I had a bad Battery at 36k, performed the recalls and have not had any other issues so far. Dealer oil changes every 6k miles so there is record in case anything happens.

I currently have a rattle near the rear end at idle, sounds like a heat shield or some thin metallic material vibrating on something, going to get that inspected at my next visit.

The Ecoboost 2.0 has been around for years. My last vehicle was a Ford Escape. I owned it for 8 years and it never left me stranded.
I have owned 3 ford Escapes previously. All 2.0L No problems at all.

Some of the 2.0L did have head gasket issues.
